Which Providers Added the Most CRICOS Courses in September 2026?
Curtin University recorded the largest number of newly appearing CRICOS course records in the September 2026 data, with 11 additions. Realm Vista followed with nine, RMIT with eight, Flinders University with seven and Tradie Skills College with six.
CRICOS.net identified 139 additions across 48 providers by comparing course records in the August and September 2026 CRICOS datasets. The ten leading providers accounted for 66 additions, or 47.5% of the total.
These figures count provider-code and course-code combinations that appeared in the September snapshot but not in the August snapshot. They do not measure enrolments, student demand or provider quality.
Providers with the most new CRICOS course records

The five leading providers contributed 41 additions, representing 29.5% of all newly appearing records. No single provider accounted for more than 7.9%, so the additions were distributed more widely than the headline ranking alone might suggest.
Curtin University added 11 course records
Curtin University led the September comparison with 11 additions spanning sustainability, planning, actuarial science, health and psychology.

Four of these records were classified under Environmental Studies, three under Architecture and Urban Environment and two under Mathematical Sciences. The remaining two belonged to Public Health and Behavioural Science.
The comparison establishes that these course codes were absent from the August file and present in September. It does not establish when Curtin developed the courses or when teaching and applications begin.
Realm Vista added nine predominantly vocational courses
Realm Vista Pty Ltd ranked second with nine additions. Six were associated with the Building field: five Certificate III trade qualifications and a Diploma of Building and Construction.

The other three additions were the Graduate Diploma of Management (Learning), Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, and Certificate III in Individual Support. Across all nine Realm Vista records, the tuition fee field ranged from A$15,000 to A$28,000.
RMIT added eight courses, including four technology master’s degrees
Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology recorded eight additions. Half were 104-week technology master’s courses, each carrying a tuition fee of A$96,000 in the September dataset:
- 121296F — Master of Artificial Intelligence
- 121297E — Master of Data Science
- 121298D — Master of Information Technology
- 121299C — Master of Data Science and Artificial Intelligence
The other four records were:
- 121285J — Graduate Diploma in Public Policy
- 121286H — Master of Public Policy
- 121294H — Bachelor of Occupational Therapy (Honours)
- 121295G — Bachelor of Laws/Bachelor of Criminology and Criminal Justice
RMIT’s additions therefore covered Computer Science, Political Science and Policy Studies, Rehabilitation Therapies and Law rather than a single course level or discipline.
Flinders University added seven course records
Flinders University added seven records across languages, law, business, medical studies and health management.
The Master of Business Analytics (121227H) was listed with a duration of 104 weeks and a tuition fee of A$97,899. Three further additions concerned health or health management:

The remaining records were a combined languages and international relations bachelor’s degree and a combined Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Science.
Tradie Skills College added six Building courses
All six additions at Tradie Skills College were classified under the Building narrow field.
Five were Certificate III qualifications:
- Wall and Floor Tiling
- Solid Plastering
- Bricklaying and Blocklaying
- Glass and Glazing
- Wall and Ceiling Lining
Each of these records listed a duration of 52 weeks and a tuition fee of A$20,000. The sixth was a 40-week Certificate IV in Building and Construction with a recorded tuition fee of A$16,000.
Tradie Skills College contributed six of the 26 Building additions in the September comparison. Realm Vista contributed another six, meaning the two providers together accounted for 46.2% of all newly appearing records in that narrow field.
Five providers added five records each
Charles Darwin University, Federation University Australia, JMC, the Academy of Business and Management Australia and Torrens University Australia each recorded five additions.
Their course profiles differed considerably:
- Charles Darwin University added courses including the Bachelor of Digital Enterprise and Master of Clinical Audiology.
- Federation University Australia added the Bachelor of Midwifery, Bachelor of Sport Management and Bachelor of Exercise and Sport Science, among other records.
- JMC concentrated on music theatre and stage management.
- The Academy of Business and Management Australia added three Building qualifications alongside courses in cabinet making and information technology.
- Torrens University Australia added three Higher Education pathway awards and two health science bachelor’s degrees.
University and non-university providers both appear near the top of the ranking. The comparison should therefore be read as a provider-wide view of CRICOS additions, not as a university ranking.
Building was the largest field among the additions
Building was the leading narrow field in the September additions, with 26 newly appearing records. It was followed by:

At the broader classification level, Architecture and Building accounted for 29 additions. Society and Culture contributed 23, while Management and Commerce contributed 17.
Course levels were also mixed. The largest groups were Certificate III courses with 29 records, coursework master’s degrees with 27, diplomas with 26 and bachelor’s degrees with 22. The result reflects activity across vocational and higher education rather than expansion in only one part of the register.
How CRICOS.net calculated the ranking
CRICOS.net compared the August and September 2026 course exports using a composite key consisting of:
- CRICOS provider code;
- CRICOS course code.
A record was counted as an addition when that composite key was present in September but absent in August. Rows without a populated provider-course key were excluded from the comparison.
The calculation produced:
- 139 newly appearing course records
- 48 providers with at least one addition
- 66 additions among the ten leading providers
- 47.5% of all additions attributable to those ten providers
This method identifies changes between two dataset snapshots. A newly appearing record is not necessarily a newly created curriculum product, and the comparison does not confirm course commencement dates, current intakes or application availability.
The tuition figures in this article reproduce the Tuition Fee field in the September dataset. They should not be treated as interchangeable annual prices or personalised cost estimates. Course durations differ, and students may face other expenses.
How to verify a course before applying
The Australian Government states that education institutions can enrol and deliver education services to students in Australia on a student visa only when they are registered on CRICOS.
Prospective students can use the official CRICOS course search to check a course code and review the current registration record. The Department of Education also explains the provider requirements on its Registration on CRICOS page.
Before making a decision, verify:
- the current CRICOS status;
- the education provider and delivery location;
- the registered duration;
- course entry requirements;
- available intakes;
- tuition and non-tuition costs;
- information published directly by the provider.
